Gerry's passion for paintball began in 1987 when he played his first game at a renegade paintball field, which later became known as Tsawwassen Paintball Games (TPG). Gerry spent many years playing and working on this field. He was an integral part of rebuilding TPG, and later on, building TPG2.
In 2015, Gerry realized a life long dream and became co-owner of his own paintball field, Kamloops Paintball Games. This also reignited his love for competitive paintball and in 2016 he started his own team, Kamloops Kaos.
Playing with Kamloops Kaos, Gerry recognized a need for organizational representation in the local speedball community, To fulfil this need, Gerry created the Kamloops Speedball Association in 2020.
With over 35 years in the paintball industry, Gerry is committed to promoting the sport and sharing his knowledge. expertise and passion with others.
While Guy was born and raised in Kamloops, his interest in paintball began in the late 1980's when he lived on Vancouver Island.
Guy made the Pro Paintball team "Washington Reign" and played speedball as a pro for the first time in 1997 until 2005. This provided Guy with valuable experience in leadership, coaching, and overall sportsmanship.
Guy’s love for Kamloops brought him back to his hometown, where he connected with Gerry Doucette. The two immediately hit it off and began discussions on Guy joining Kamloops Kaos. This ultimately led to Guy joining the KSA.
Guy's knowledge and experience are instrumental in developing and promoting speedball in Kamloops. His experience as a pro player, combined with his connection to our local community, make him a valuable asset to the KSA.
Having grown up in Kamloops, Nik spent much of his time playing paintball at Kamloops Paintball Games. He first started playing at the age of 14, and a few years later started working as a field referee.
Nik joined Kamloops Kaos in 2019 and this experience has deepened his connection with the paintball community. Nik often travels down to the Vancouver area for team tournaments and provides guidance and support to up and coming players.
In addition to his passion for paintball, Nik gained valuable leadership skills through his eight year involvement in the air cadets program. He brings these skills to the Kamloops Speedball Association, where he is a key member of the organization and is dedicated to helping grow the sport in the community.
Carrie-Anne was first introduced to the sport of paintball when she met her husband, Gerry Doucette, in 2012. Over the years, she has continuously supported her husband in his paintball pursuits.
With a strong administrative and marketing background, Carrie-Anne is responsible for much of the “behind the scenes” work. She plays a vital role in organizing and promoting the KSA.
